Cardinals nicknamed red birds are found throughout Bermuda but hide out in woodlands, parks and some gardens. The males are bright red with the females a duller grey, pink plumage. They enjoy seeds, insects and fruit. Occasionally they can be territorial – they have been known to peck at the windows of @bermudabiscuits kitchen windows (trying to scare off their own reflection). Cute and feisty naturalised Bermudian birds. Often seen in flocks over winter.
